About the role
We are seeking a Paraplanner to support Financial Planners in providing high-quality advice to clients. This role involves preparing suitability reports, conducting research, ensuring compliance, and helping to develop tailored financial strategies based on client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed, compliant suitability reports and recommendations
- Conduct technical research across investments, pensions, tax planning, and protection products
- Liaise with clients and product providers to gather relevant information
- Analyse client fact finds, risk profiles, and financial objectives
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of financial plans
- Maintain accurate records on back-office systems.
- Keep up to date with financial products, legislation, and industry trends
- Work closely with advisers to ensure client needs are met promptly and effectively
- Support with annual reviews and ongoing client servicing
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a paraplanning or similar role
- Strong knowledge of pensions, investments, tax planning, and protection
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial planning software
Desirable:
- Progress towards Chartered Financial Planner status
- Experience with Transact.
- Familiarity with FCA compliance requirements
