We are seeking a skilled Cognos Analytics Developer to join our data and analytics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining IBM Cognos Analytics solutions that provide actionable insights across the organisation. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent understanding of data modelling, and deep experience in reporting, dashboard development, and framework manager modelling using Cognos.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy reports, dashboards, and data visualisations using IBM Cognos Analytics.

Build and maintain metadata models using Cognos Framework Manager and Data Modules.

Translate business requirements into technical design specifications and effective BI solutions.

Optimise performance of Cognos reports and dashboards through query tuning and efficient modelling.

Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather reporting requirements and deliver insights.
*
Develop and maintain documentation including technical specs, data lineage, and support guides.
*
Perform root cause analysis and resolve issues related to Cognos reporting and data discrepancies.

Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and enhancements to existing Cognos content.

Ensure compliance with data governance and security protocols.
Skills & Experience Required
*
Proven experience as a Cognos Developer, BI Developer, or similar role.
*
Strong knowledge of IBM Cognos Analytics (11.x or later) – Report Studio, Dashboarding, Data Modules.

Experience with Cognos Framework Manager and Data Warehouse concepts.
*
Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
*
Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2.

Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline integration (experience with tools such as Informatica or DataStage is a plus).
