We are supporting a leading financial services firm in the search for an experienced Power BI Platform Administrator to join a large-scale enterprise data environment. This is a platform-focused role, responsible for the administration, optimisation, and governance of a major Power BI estate supporting approximately 200 dashboards and 2,000+ users across the organisation. This is not a hands-on dashboard development role. Instead, the successful candidate will take ownership of the Power BI platform, ensuring performance, stability, governance, and best practice across the wider user and developer community.

Key responsibilities:

  • Administer and optimise the enterprise Power BI platform and tenant
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Fabric CI/CD processes
  • Work with Power BI/Fabric REST APIs to support automation and platform operations
  • Manage permissions, security groups, and workspace access models
  • Monitor and optimise platform capacity using Fabric Capacity metrics
  • Analyse Activity Logs and Log Analytics data for auditing and troubleshooting
  • Proactively identify and resolve platform, usage, and performance issues
  • Support existing developer teams and drive platform best practice adoption
  • Lead proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives and contribute to architectural design patterns

Key requirements:

  • Strong experience administering enterprise-level Power BI environments
  • Deep understanding of Power BI governance, deployment, and platform management
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure DevOps, and Power BI REST APIs
  • Strong knowledge of capacity management, security, and workspace governance
  • Experience supporting large user communities and high-volume dashboard estates
  • Excellent stakeholder management and proactive problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience within large-scale enterprise environments, ideally within financial services
