We’re currently recruiting for an Applications Engineer to join a specialist team working with vapor deposition polymerisation of parylene – a highly innovative coating technology. This role is perfect for someone with an engineering background who enjoys problem-solving, process improvement, and working closely with both customers and internal teams. What you’ll be doing: * Developing and improving processes for parylene coatings * Investigating new materials and technologies to reduce costs and increase yield * Running experiments to advance coating processes * Resolving process issues and supporting key customer accounts * Collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and sales teams to deliver solutions * Documenting processes and providing input into best practices and improvements What we’re looking for: * A degree in Engineering or related field * At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory setting * Knowledge of organic coating processes or polymer chemistry (parylene experience is a plus) * Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently * Analytical mindset with hands-on technical ability * Comfortable using lab instruments and tools, as well as Microsoft Office This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make an impact in a growing field, directly contribute to customer solutions, and shape the future of advanced coating technology
