Job Description

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Technical Analyst to support the design, configuration, and optimisation of CI/CD pipelines and development-tooling across a modern engineering landscape.
This role blends analytical capability with hands-on technical delivery, focused on improving software-release efficiency and automation practices. You will partner with software development, architecture, and infrastructure teams to implement DevOps best practices and drive continuous delivery maturity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and enhance current build, deployment, and environment-management processes.

  • Configure, maintain, and enhance Jenkins pipelines, plugins, and associated automation tooling.

  • Build, refine, and support end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, including automated test and deployment stages.

  • Work closely with technical teams to translate functional needs into DevOps solutions aligned with SDLC requirements.

  • Identify gaps and propose technical and process improvements across delivery workflows.

  • Document DevOps processes, configuration patterns, and operational practices.

  • Collaborate on backlog creation and support the definition of technical user stories.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and support root-cause analysis for deployment failures.

  • Support integration of version control, artefact management, and automated testing platforms.

  • Ensure DevOps processes align with security, compliance, and audit standards.

  • Promote best practices, coaching teams on CI/CD and automation capabilities.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience working in a DevOps, build-engineering, or technical analyst role.

  • Strong working knowledge of:

    • Jenkins configuration and scripted/declarative pipeline development

    • CI/CD frameworks and automation tooling

    • Git-based version control workflows

  • Understanding of SDLC in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).

  • Experience capturing requirements and defining user stories for DevOps workflows.

  • Good knowledge of containerisation (Docker; Kubernetes beneficial).

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills with cross-functional teams.
