Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Security Control Centre Programme Manager to lead and oversee the operations and development of our security control centre in Kenya. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security systems management, including CCTV operations, and experience managing large-scale security programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the Security Control Centre, ensuring seamless operation of CCTV surveillance systems.
  • Develop and enforce security protocols, procedures, and best practices in alignment with company policies.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrades of CCTV and other security systems.
  • Manage and coordinate a team of security operators, technicians, and external contractors.
  • Monitor security footage and ensure prompt responses to security incidents.
  • Analyse security data to identify trends, vulnerabilities, and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with local authorities, law enforcement, and security partners as necessary.
  • Develop training programs for security personnel on CCTV operations and security protocols.
  • Prepare and present reports on security operations and incidents to senior management.
  • Manage budgets, contracts, and vendors for security-related services and technologies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing security operations, including CCTV systems and control room environments.
  • Strong understanding of security technologies, including video surveillance, alarm systems, and access control.
  • Experience leading security teams and managing external vendors.
  • Proficiency in using security management software and incident reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with security regulations and standards applicable in Kenya.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a high-pressure environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working within the retail, hospitality, or logistics sectors.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity protocols related to physical security systems.
  • Certification in security management (eg, CPP, PSP) is a plus.
  • Experience managing projects with tight deadlines and large-scale deployments.
