A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced business development manager to join a successful and well-established technology / manufacturing group of companies based on the South Coast.
Reporting to the Technical Sales Director and MD, the role will involve managing existing accounts, securing new business, and driving sales for the range of cutting-edge infrastructure products. The Business Development Manager will play a key role in expanding the market presence and meeting sales targets.
Your role will involve:
- Product Sales: Promote and sell comprehensive product range.
- Account Management: Manage a portfolio of allocated accounts, ensuring strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for growth. Provide tailored solutions to meet the specific needs of existing customers.
- New Business Development: Identify, target, and secure new clients within relevant industries. Build relationships with potential customers and expand market share in the infrastructure and data centre sectors.
- Market and Product Expertise: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to position products effectively.
- Sales Strategy and Execution: Collaborate with the Technical Sales Director to develop and implement effective sales strategies. Attend trade shows, networking events, and client meetings.
- Reporting and Administration: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline progress in the CRM system. Prepare sales reports and forecasts for management review.
You will be the ideal candidate due to your:
- Proven experience in infrastructure sales and business development, account management, preferably within the technology, transportation, communications or data centre sectors.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure products and thermal management solutions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
- Familiarity with data centres and IT infrastructure is highly desirable.
