Job Description
Mechanical Engineer (Nights)
Were working with a large manufacturing business which operates 24/7 that is actively seeking to add an experienced Mechanical or Multiskilled Engineer to its Manufacturing Engineering Support teams.
Location: Near St Austell
Salary: circa £38,000 plus overtime
Shifts – Working Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night shifts and every other Saturday night shift on rotation
06:00hrs – 18:00hrs with a 1 hour paid break
The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day running, repairs and maintenance of all production related equipment, including breakdown repairs and continuous improvement project/task work, ordering of spares and general site facility tasks.
To be successful, we would like you to have:
- Relevant training or have served an apprenticeship
- Have experience working as an Industrial Mechanical Shift Engineer within Industrial, Manufacturing or Automation.
- Any experience in the printing or packaging industry would be beneficial but not essential.
- Experience with maintenance programmes within a large scale manufacturing environment.
- Electromechanical skills are a definite advantage but not essential
- Have excellent communication, organisational and team work skills
- Self-motivation, ability to apply initiative and determination
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills are essential.
As you can imagine in such a busy role, we would like you to be able to demonstrate the necessary flexibility, enthusiasm and drive to work within a fast-paced department.
Specific training will be provided.
Some machine assets have OEM remote support diagnostics.
