We are working with a large manufacturing business which operates 24/7 that is actively seeking to add an experienced Mechanical Engineer to its Manufacturing Engineering Support teams.
Location: Near Bicester
Salary: £40,314 plus overtime
Mechanical Engineer (Shift)
- Average 42 hours per week
- 12 hours shifts 07.00am-19.00pm OR 19.00pm-07.00am
- Working 4 on and 4 off - 2 days/2 nights shifts
The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day running, repairs and maintenance of all production related equipment, including breakdown repairs and continuous improvement project/task work, ordering of spares and general site facility tasks.
Requirements:
- Relevant training or have served an apprenticeship
- Experience working as an Industrial Mechanical Shift Engineer within Industrial, Manufacturing or Automation
- Any experience in the printing or packaging industry would be beneficial but not essential
- Experience with maintenance programmes within a large scale manufacturing environment
- Electromechanical skills are a definite advantage but not essential
- Excellent communication, organisational and team work skills
- Self-motivation, ability to apply initiative and determination
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills are essential
As you can imagine in such a busy role, we would like you to be able to demonstrate the necessary flexibility, enthusiasm and drive to work within a fast-paced department. Specific training will be provided. Some machine assets have OEM remote support diagnostics.
