We are working with a large pan-European manufacturing business which operates 7 days a week that is actively seeking to add an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Electrician to join one of its site Manufacturing Engineering Support teams.
Shift Engineer: 40 hours per week - Double or Triple Shift or Permanent Nights (plus overtime)
- Reactive Maintenance on automated production, printing, packaging or finishing machinery
- Pre-planned Maintenance (PPM) - Input to and carry out preventive maintenance routines
- Mechanical fault finding
- Electrical fault finding with and without diagrams (three phase and control systems)
- Small installation projects
- Continuous Improvement to maintain optimal machine efficiency
- To keep clean any areas in which you are working, including transit areas to and from the workshop, the workshop and stores
- Complying with the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Be part of a weekend call-out rota
A recognised industrial Electrical qualification 18th Edition and Level 3 Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
Have experience working as a Maintenance Engineer or as a dedicated Multiskilled or Electrical Engineer in a Manufacturing environment. Experience in the print, packaging or associated industries would be great but is not essential. However, experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment is critical.
Strong electrical fault-finding skills in particular on PLCs, drives and inverters. Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams. Experience with maintenance PPM and RM programmes.
Specific training where required will be provided, OEM suppliers and via remote modem diagnostic support from the OEM.
