Electrical Multi Skilled Engineer

Were working with a large pan-European manufacturing business, which operates 7 days a week, that is actively seeking to add an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Electrician to join its site Manufacturing Engineering Support teams.Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically bias)40 hours per week – Monday to Friday based on Double Day shift 6am-2pm/2pm-10pmParticipation in weekend On Call Rota (approx 1 in 5).Location: nr Chippenham, WiltshireSalary: Circa £40,000 plus on call allowanceThe position's responsibilities are:Reactive Maintenance on automated production machineryPre-planned Maintenance (PPM) – Input to and carry out preventive maintenance routinesMechanical fault findingElectrical fault finding with and without diagrams (three phase and control systems)Small installation projectsContinuous Improvement to maintain optimal machine efficiencyTo keep clean any areas in which you are working, including transit areas to and from the workshop, the workshop and storesSupport the Operations team in achieving targetsComplying to the companys Health and Safety policies and proceduresContributing to cost effective technical solutionsDeliver to the operational expectationsBe part of a weekend call-out rotaTo be successful, we would like you to have:A recognised industrial Electrical qualification 18th Edition and Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)Have experience working as a Shift Electrician or as a dedicated Electrical Engineer in a Manufacturing environment.Experience in the print, packaging or associated industries would be great but is not essential. But experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment is critical.Strong electrical fault-finding skill in particular on PLCs, drives and invertersExcellent fault finding and diagnostic skillsAbility to read and interpret engineering diagramsExperience with maintenance PPM and RM programmes.Ideally experience working a buddy system with a Mechanical Engineer.Have good communication, organisational and team work skills.Self motivation, ability to apply initiative and determination.Specific training where required will be provided, OEM suppliers and via remote modem diagnostic support from the OEM.This is a great opportunity to join a leading manufacturer in a key electrical engineering role.
