The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We are working with a large pan-European manufacturing business which operates 7 days a week that is actively seeking to add an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Electrician to join one of its site Manufacturing Engineering Support teams.
Shift Engineer: 40 hours per week - Double or Triple Shift or Permanent Nights (plus overtime)
- Reactive Maintenance on automated production, printing, packaging or finishing machinery
- Pre-planned Maintenance (PPM) - Input to and carry out preventive maintenance routines
- Mechanical fault finding
- Electrical fault finding with and without diagrams (three phase and control systems)
- Small installation projects
- Continuous Improvement to maintain optimal machine efficiency
- To keep clean any areas in which you are working, including transit areas to and from the workshop, the workshop and stores
- Complying with the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Be part of a weekend call-out rota
Requirements:
- A recognised industrial Electrical qualification 18th Edition and Level 3 Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
- Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer or as a dedicated Multiskilled or Electrical Engineer in a Manufacturing environment
- Experience in the print, packaging or associated industries would be great but is not essential. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment is critical
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills in particular on PLCs, drives and inverters
- Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams
- Experience with maintenance PPM and RM programmes
Specific training where required will be provided, OEM suppliers and via remote modem diagnostic support from the OEM. This is a great opportunity to join a leading manufacturer in a key maintenance engineering role working on large scale machinery in a time-sensitive manufacturing environment.
