We are working with a large pan-European manufacturing business which operates 7 days a week that is actively seeking to add an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Electrician to join one of its site Manufacturing Engineering Support teams.
40 hours per week - Double or Triple Shift or Permanent Nights (plus overtime)
Location: Nr Eastbourne, Sussex
Salary: Dependent on Experience
The position's responsibilities are:
- Reactive Maintenance on automated production, printing, packaging or finishing machinery
- Pre-planned Maintenance (PPM) - Input to and carry out preventive maintenance routines
- Mechanical fault finding
- Electrical fault finding with and without diagrams (three phase and control systems)
- Fault finding and repair on hydraulic or pneumatic systems
- Small installation projects
- Continuous Improvement to maintain optimal machine efficiency
- To keep clean any areas in which you are working, including transit areas to and from the workshop, the workshop and stores
- Support the Operations team in achieving targets
- Complying to the company's Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Contributing to cost effective technical solutions
- Deliver to the operational expectations
- Be part of a weekend call-out rota
To be successful, we would like you to have:
- A recognised industrial Electrical qualification 18th Edition and Level 3 Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
- Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer or as a dedicated Multiskilled or Electrical Engineer in a Manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the print, packaging or associated industries would be great but is not essential. However, experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment is critical.
- Strong electrical fault-finding skill in particular on PLCs, drives and inverters
- Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams
- Experience with maintenance PPM and RM programmes.
- Ideally experience working with highly skilled Operators or Technicians.
- Good communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivation, ability to apply initiative and determination.
Specific training where required will be provided, OEM suppliers and via remote modem diagnostic support from the OEM.
