Job Description

Nurture Teacher (KS3 SEMH) – Hyde Start Date: September 2026 Temporary Position with Potential to Become Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Nurture Teacher to join a supportive school in Hyde from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.

The role is initially offered on a temporary basis, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to KS3 pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Create a nurturing, structured and positive learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students to support their emotional wellbeing and development.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies effectively and consistently.
  • Work closely with support staff, parents/carers and external agencies to meet individual student needs.
  • The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or has significant relevant teaching experience.
  • Has experience working with SEMH students or young people with additional behavioural needs.
  • Is confident managing challenging behaviour and de-escalating situations effectively.
  • Demonstrates resilience, patience and a nurturing approach.
  • Is committed to helping vulnerable learners succeed.
