Talent Education are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work on a supply basis in secondary schools across Rochdale. We have both day-to-day and short-term opportunities available, with roles starting as soon as possible and continuing on an ongoing basis. This role is ideal for graduates looking to gain classroom experience or experienced Cover Supervisors seeking flexible work within secondary education.
The Role:
- Supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensuring a positive and productive learning environment
- Reporting back to teaching staff at the end of each assignment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A degree in a curriculum subject
- Previous experience working in a secondary school environment (desirable)
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
