Key Responsibilities:

• Draft detailed and accurate bills of costs.
• Prepare costs budgets and statements.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties.
• Provide expert advice on cost-related matters.
• Handle both contentious and non-contentious costs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant case law and legislation.
• Manage own caseload independently from start to finish.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in legal costs drafting, with a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the role.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in costs drafting software and legal case management systems.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex legal documents and provide detailed cost analyses.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous in preparing accurate and comprehensive bills of costs.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Autonomy: Capable of managing own caseload independently.
