Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer - London to £70K+ Package

We’re looking for either a Senior or a Principal level Mechanical Engineer to join their growing Building Services team.
This is an opportunity to work on genuinely interesting projects, alongside civil, structural, transport, sustainability, environmental and other built-environment specialists – giving you the chance to think beyond your own discipline and see the bigger picture.
What will you be doing?
You’ll be involved in the design and delivery of Mechanical Building Services across a diverse range of projects and sectors that focus heavily on Heritage projects.
- Mechanical building services design from concept through to delivery
- Lead project coordination and client interface
- HVAC, and Low-Carbon building systems
- New-Build and Retrofit projects (Heritage focus)
- Workplace, Hospitality and Mixed-Use developments
- Sustainable and energy-efficient design solutions
- Coordinating your designs with architects, structural engineers and other consultants
- Developing designs through the RIBA stages
- Supporting engineers and contributing to the wider team
But this isn’t simply a role where you’ll be given a package of drawings and asked to get on with it.

Who are we looking for?
We’re interested in hearing from Mechanical Engineers who have:
- A degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Experience within a building services consultancy environment
- Good knowledge of Mechanical Building Services Design
- An understanding of relevant UK standards and regulations
- Experience using appropriate design and engineering software
- The ability to communicate effectively with clients and other members of a project team
- A genuine interest in sustainable and low-carbon engineering
You don’t need to tick every box.
