Overview: This role sits within a Commercial Property Consultancy that manages large estates and portfolios of buildings for world‑leading businesses, offering opportunities to engage on M&E Design projects across the building’s lifetime.

Essentially, Commercial Property Consultancies have their own in‑house client base and have developed fully functioning M&E Consultancies which feed off the M&E projects across all client buildings and portfolios. They manage all aspects of a client’s property portfolio from buying, selling and leasing, along with technical areas including building surveying, project management, sustainability/NZC and M&E including full detailed design (stages 0-4). This structure means projects are costed to reflect value, with a potentially less pressurised environment and the capacity to grow the team as needed, while delivering competitive rewards.

Responsibilities: As an Associate Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be part of a team working on projects from concept through detailed design to completion and handover. You’ll act as the client’s representative on projects, given responsibility for managing projects with support from the wider M&E team, and have the opportunity to develop both design and commercial client‑facing/project management skills. You will experience a client‑side role with direct access to clients and the chance to contribute to projects on the client’s behalf as part of the client team. There is structured training, a clear route to progression and excellent CPD opportunities within the team. Although this Commercial Property Consultancy employs over 50,000 staff, they emphasise people‑before‑profit.

Benefits:

  • Flexible working hours and a 35 hour week as standard
  • Annual bonus, up to 15% of your basic salary
  • 7.5% pension
  • 27 days leave (plus Bank Holidays)
  • Life assurance
  • Private medical
  • Option of buying or selling 5 days leave
  • Interest free season ticket loan or cycle to work scheme
  • Junior Board representative – get to speak to the Executive board where your voice can be heard
