About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join a leading engineering team in Dumbarton. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality welding and fabrication work to engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment, including set-up and adjustment.
- Perform TIG, MAG, and MMA welding processes, meeting PT and RT testing standards.
- Pipe welding, fit-up, and orbital pipe preparation.
- Marking off, drilling, plasma burning, and de-burring operations.
- Crane operation, lifting, and safe handling of materials.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and housekeeping to high standards.
- Work flexibly across day and night shifts when required.
- Support wider team projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Recognised Welding/Fabrication apprenticeship.
- Strong operational knowledge of welding and fabrication equipment.
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication.
