This organisation delivers high-impact aftermarket services and equipment upgrades to global clients across energy, environmental, and manufacturing sectors.
We are now seeking a confident and commercially astute Team Leader Proposals & Technical Sales to oversee the development of high-quality technical proposals while supporting and mentoring a growing team. This is a key leadership role with real scope to shape customer experience, drive operational performance, and strengthen the company’s technical sales offering.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the daily operations of the Aftermarket & Proposals team, supporting the department manager and stepping in when required
- Review and approve technical and commercial proposals to ensure quality, competitiveness, and customer fit
- Provide expert consultation on retrofit, upgrade, and parts solutions for industrial clients
- Contribute to strategic pricing, costing, and pipeline management
- Build and maintain client relationships, ensuring excellent service and solution delivery
- Coach and develop team members while managing performance, absence, and development plans
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and EHS (Zone 8) initiatives
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and operational teams to enhance service delivery
- A strong technical sales or project management background, ideally in industrial engineering or manufacturing
- Proven experience developing proposals, leading teams, and engaging with customers
- Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering, Business, or Management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- CRM experience desirable; MS Office proficiency essential
- Customer-focused mindset with a drive for improvement and innovation
