What Youll Be Doing
No two days are the same, but your main responsibilities will include:
Building and assembling gearboxes, sub-assemblies, valves, and sootblowers.
Carrying out final testing to make sure everything meets the right specs.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings accurately.
Keeping your workspace tidy, tools in top condition, and safety front of mind.
Recording job hours and following build procedures carefully.
Occasionally, providing night shift cover as part of a rota.
Supporting the wider team with different tasks and projects when needed.
What Were Looking For
A recognised mechanical apprenticeship or relevant technical qualification.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong mechanical fitting and assembly skills.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
A proactive, safety-first attitude and a real team player.
Flexibility to support electrical assembly tasks when required
Working Hours (37 hours per week)
Monday & Wednesday: 07:45 16:30
Tuesday & Thursday: 07:45 16:00
Friday: 07:45 12:45
This role is based on a day shift pattern, giving you an early finish every Friday to kickstart the weekend!
Whats In It for You
