Mechanical Assembly Fitter Precision Engineering

Talent Media is working in partnership with a precision engineering company to recruit a Mechanical Assembly Fitter for their Glasgow facility.

Location: Glasgow
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Purpose of the Role:

Using precision tools and your keen eye for detail, you will assemble components to high standards in line with technical drawings and customer specifications. Youll play an integral role in meeting quality and delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble components to exact specifications using engineering drawings and work instructions
• Conduct quality checks and ensure all products meet customer and internal compliance standards
• Identify and report any quality issues or component shortages
• Confirm incoming materials meet drawing requirements prior to assembly
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety policies
• Actively contribute to ongoing continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar mechanical assembly role OR strong interest in precision engineering
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Familiarity with manual drilling, reaming, tapping (preferred)
• Experience in deburring operations (desirable)
• Background in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred
