The Role
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for producing high-precision components using advanced CNC machinery. Working to tight tolerances and engineering drawings, you'll ensure each part meets strict customer and industry standards. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering environment where quality, performance, and teamwork are at the core.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and oversee CNC machinery according to job specifications
- Load materials and safely unload finished components
- Adjust offsets, speeds, and cutter paths as required
- Interpret technical and engineering drawings
- Work to tight tolerances and critical quality standards
- Follow company processes, work instructions, and safety procedures
- Maintain accurate production and maintenance logs
- Carry out routine machine checks for mechanical or safety issues
- Ensure machines are adequately stocked with tools and materials
- Support wider production requirements during peak periods
Qualifications & Experience
- Time-served CNC Machinist
- Experience with CNC Turning, Grinding, Horizontal Milling, or 5-Axis Milling
- Ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings
- Proven background producing precision components
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and manufacturing procedures

Pay & Shift Information
- Basic Pay Rate (Skilled Operator): £22.01 per hour
- Shift Allowances:
- Dayshift / Early shift 0%
- Rotating Early/Late 10%
- Backshift only 10%
- 3 Shifts (Early, Back, Night) 25%
- Backshift/Nightshift 25%
- Nightshift only 25%
Most CNC Machinists will work on a 3-shift rotation (Early / Back / Night), attracting a 25% shift allowance.
