The Role

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for producing high-precision components using advanced CNC machinery. Working to tight tolerances and engineering drawings, you'll ensure each part meets strict customer and industry standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and oversee CNC machinery according to job specifications
  • Load materials and safely unload finished components
  • Adjust offsets, speeds, and cutter paths as required
  • Interpret technical and engineering drawings
  • Work to tight tolerances and critical quality standards
  • Follow company processes, work instructions, and safety procedures
  • Maintain accurate production and maintenance logs
  • Carry out routine machine checks for mechanical or safety issues
  • Ensure machines are adequately stocked with tools and materials
  • Support wider production requirements during peak periods

Qualifications & Experience

  • Time-served CNC Machinist
  • Experience with CNC Turning, Grinding, Horizontal Milling, or 5-Axis Milling
  • Ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings
  • Proven background producing precision components
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and manufacturing procedures

Pay & Shift Information

  • Basic Pay Rate (Skilled Operator): £22.01 per hour
  • Shift Allowances:
    • Dayshift / Early shift 0%
    • Rotating Early/Late 10%
    • Backshift only 10%
    • 3 Shifts (Early, Back, Night) 25%
    • Backshift/Nightshift 25%
    • Nightshift only 25%

Most CNC Machinists will work on a 3-shift rotation (Early / Back / Night), attracting a 25% shift allowance.
