Talent Media is working in partnership with our client in the precision engineering industry to recruit a skilled CMM Inspector based at their Glasgow facility.
Location: Glasgow
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Shift Rotation: Initially, the role is standard working hours, Monday to Friday. Once fully trained, the candidate will move onto a two or three-rotational shift pattern, which will be agreed with the line manager.
Purpose of the Role: You will be responsible for the efficient inspection and verification of precision-machined components, ensuring strict adherence to customer specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct first-off, interim, and batch inspections using various measurement tools
- Operate CMM equipment with appropriate probes and attachments
- Develop and document fixturing requirements per product
- Produce clear inspection reports to meet customer and manufacturing needs
- Analyse inspection reports and liaise with production on non-conforming or borderline features
- Perform customer eyes visual inspections on final batches
- Review and monitor CMM programs to optimise cycle times
- Conduct CMM calibrations as required
- Compile corrective action reports and ensure resolution
- Sign off jobs post-inspection and support shop-floor checks

- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
- Experience producing control plans and SOPs
- Industry experience with high-precision measurement techniques
