As they continue to expand, they are looking for a skilled, motivated individual who takes pride in delivering a high standard of work.
About the Role
This is a practical, hands-on role where you will work across various residential, commercial, and community-based projects. The work is diverse and rewarding, with substantial opportunities for learning and development, whether through formal training or by taking on greater responsibilities on-site.
Key responsibilities include:
- Concrete works (foundations, slabs, bases)
- Preparing the ground for roads, paths, and buildings
- Drainage works, including pipe-laying and manhole installation
- Service trenching and duct-laying
- Kerbing, slabbing, fencing, and landscaping
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with solid groundworks or civil engineering experience who enjoys being part of a team and takes absolute pride in their craft. You'll ideally bring:
- Proven experience in civil engineering or groundworks
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- The ability to support and mentor junior operatives
- Good record-keeping and communication skills
- A professional, respectful, and safety-conscious approach
Essential Requirements:
- Valid CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
- Strong understanding of site health & safety
- Willingness to travel and work away from home if required
Desirable (but not essential):
- Plant operation tickets (e.g. excavator, dumper, roller)
- First Aid at Work certification
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
