About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join a leading engineering team in Dumbarton. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality welding and fabrication work to engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate welding and fabrication equipment, including set-up and adjustment.
  • Perform TIG, MAG, and MMA welding processes, meeting PT and RT testing standards.
  • Pipe welding, fit-up, and orbitalum pipe preparation.
  • Marking off, drilling, plasma burning, and de-burring operations.
  • Crane operation, lifting, and safe handling of materials.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and housekeeping to high standards.
  • Work flexibly across day and night shifts when required.
  • Support wider team projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Recognised Welding/Fabrication apprenticeship.
  • Strong operational knowledge of welding and fabrication equipment.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and data.
  • Computer literate; TIG welding experience preferred.
