About the Role
Talent Media is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established, high-precision manufacturing business operating across multiple centres of excellence in the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Customer Logistics Coordinator to join their operations team based in Basildon. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong manufacturing or operations background to play a key role in supporting production flow and customer delivery performance.
Job Overview
As Customer Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of materials and jobs through the production process to ensure customer delivery targets are met. You will act as a key link between operations, production, and customer-facing teams, ensuring accurate tracking, communication, and reporting throughout the lifecycle of each order. This role is ideal for a proactive and organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Expedite and track customer jobs through production to achieve on-time delivery.
- Maintain line of balance and production trackers to ensure accurate progress reporting.
- Take ownership of all Work in Progress (WIP) for customer orders from pre-launch to shipment.
- Support daily and weekly production meetings with accurate operational data.
- Communicate daily with operational and manufacturing leaders to ensure schedules are met.
- Provide production updates to Program Managers for customer communication.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
- Monitor labelling and packaging accuracy to ensure correct deliveries.
- Ensure all delivery documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Support customer and commercial meetings when required.
- Report on key customer performance metrics with action plans where needed.
- Maintain WIP and sales order data within the ERP system.
