We are representing a fast-growing, product-led organisation seeking a commercially driven National Account Manager to strengthen its retail partnerships and accelerate new business growth. This role is ideal for a relationship-led commercial professional who excels at identifying opportunities, developing tailored solutions, and delivering consistent, measurable results. You will act as a key interface between retail customers and the company’s internal sourcing, marketing and supply chain functions — ensuring every solution reflects the organisation’s reputation for quality, value and market expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management
- Manage and grow existing retail accounts, driving satisfaction, loyalty and commercial performance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and rapid issue resolution.
- Develop a deep understanding of each customer’s business needs and create strategic, results-focused solutions.
- Analyse account performance and implement growth strategies to maximise revenue and margin.
- New Business Development
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the UK retail market.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through networking, research and proactive outreach.
- Deliver compelling value propositions and manage the full sales process from pitch to close.

Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in national account management, ideally within FMCG, retail or closely related consumer goods sectors.
- Demonstrated success in new business development and delivering sustained sales growth.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships at all levels.
- Highly commercial, self-motivated and driven by results.
- Strong organisational ability with confidence managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic thinker with a solutions-focused mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
- Competent user of CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally for client meetings.
