We are representing a fast-growing, product-led organisation seeking a commercially driven National Account Manager to strengthen its retail partnerships and accelerate new business growth. This role is ideal for a relationship-led commercial professional who excels at identifying opportunities, developing tailored solutions, and delivering consistent, measurable results. You will act as a key interface between retail customers and the company's internal sourcing, marketing and supply chain functions — ensuring every solution reflects the organisation's reputation for quality, value and market expertise.
Account Management
- Manage and grow existing retail accounts, driving satisfaction, loyalty and commercial performance.
- Analyse account performance and implement growth strategies to maximise revenue and margin.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the UK retail market.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through networking, research and proactive outreach.
- Deliver compelling value propositions and manage the full sales process from pitch to close.
- Lead strategic business development initiatives to expand the company's footprint across key retail channels.
Sales & Performance
- Consistently achieve or exceed agreed sales targets across both existing and new accounts.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure customer projects are delivered on time, within scope and aligned to commercial expectations.
- Communicate market intelligence and customer feedback to help shape future product and service offerings.
- Proven experience in national account management, ideally within FMCG, retail or closely related consumer goods sectors.
- Demonstrated success in new business development and delivering sustained sales growth.
- Highly commercial, self-motivated and driven by results.
- Competent user of CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally for client meetings.
- Experience partnering directly with retail or wholesale customers.
- Understanding of retail trends, category dynamics and competitor landscape.
- Relevant qualifications in business, sales or marketing (advantageous but not essential).
