Company: Confidential International B2B Technology Business

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

The Opportunity

A fast-growing international technology business operating across the unattended retail, vending and payments ecosystem is seeking a commercially driven Chief Marketing Officer to lead its global marketing strategy.

This is a senior leadership position for an energetic, confident and highly practical marketing leader. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with a genuine willingness to remain hands-on—leading the team while personally driving important campaigns, projects, events and client communications.

The role is based in London. Candidates must already be London-based or willing to relocate to London within 12 months.

The Role

The Chief Marketing Officer will take ownership of the company’s marketing strategy, positioning, communications and brand development. Working closely with the CEO and wider leadership team, they will help strengthen the company’s market presence, improve engagement with B2B customers and support international commercial growth.

This is not a purely corporate or delegation-focused role. The CMO will be expected to roll up their sleeves, contribute directly to projects and bring pace, visibility and personal energy to the function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an effective international B2B marketing strategy aligned with the company’s commercial objectives.
  • Strengthen the company’s positioning within the vending, unattended retail, payments or wider technology ecosystem.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the marketing team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day delivery.
  • Create compelling B2B communications for customers, commercial partners and other key stakeholders.
  • Build campaigns that generate awareness, engagement, qualified opportunities and measurable commercial results.
  • Lead the company’s presence at exhibitions, conferences, trade shows and customer events.
  • Represent the business confidently in front of clients, partners, industry stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Manage multiple marketing initiatives and cross-functional projects from concept through to delivery.
  • Work closely with sales teams to develop effective customer materials, presentations, campaigns and lead-generation programmes.
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality messaging across digital channels, events, client communications and corporate materials.
  • Introduce and embed AI-enabled tools across marketing processes, content creation, research, campaign management and performance analysis.
  • Use data and commercial insight to evaluate marketing activity and improve return on investment.
  • Bring new ideas, challenge established ways of working and create a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be an experienced senior B2B marketing leader with a strong commercial mindset and the confidence to operate in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

They should demonstrate:

  • Senior marketing leadership experience within vending, payments, unattended retail, fintech, technology or a closely related B2B sector.
  • A successful track record of creating and implementing B2B marketing strategies.
  • Strong experience communicating with corporate clients, partners and senior stakeholders.
  • A hands-on management style, combining effective leadership with personal involvement in delivery.
  • Experience managing major projects, launches, campaigns, exhibitions and industry events.
  • Confidence, presence and the willingness to represent the company publicly.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how marketing supports revenue generation.
  • Excellent project-management skills with the ability to manage several priorities simultaneously.
  • A strong interest in AI and evidence of using AI tools to improve productivity, creativity, analysis and marketing performance.
  • A modern, energetic and curious mindset, with enthusiasm for new technology and new ways of working.
  • High levels of personal drive, resilience and positive energy.
  • Native-level or fully fluent written and spoken English.
  • The ability to work effectively across different countries, cultures and business functions.

Leadership Style

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Strategic but highly practical.
  • Confident, visible and comfortable expressing their opinion.
  • Approachable and collaborative, but willing to challenge constructively.
  • Energetic and comfortable working at pace.
  • Commercially focused and accountable for results.
  • Curious about technology, AI and evolving customer behaviour.
  • Comfortable moving between board-level discussions and hands-on project delivery.

Location Requirement

The role will be based in London. Applicants must either currently live within a reasonable commuting distance of London or be fully committed to relocating within 12 months of joining.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to shape the marketing direction of an ambitious international technology company during an important period of growth. The successful candidate will have significant influence, direct access to the senior leadership team and the freedom to introduce new ideas, technologies and ways of working.
