We’re partnering with a rapidly growing technology-led business to appoint a talented Full Stack Laravel Developer to join their expanding engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing secure, scalable and high-performing digital platforms that support critical compliance and screening services across the UK.
The Role
As a Full Stack Laravel Developer, you’ll work across both front-end and back-end development, helping to design, build and maintain robust applications and APIs within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll be involved throughout the full software development lifecycle from concept and architecture through to deployment, optimisation and ongoing support. This role would suit someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working with scalable systems and contributing to the growth of a modern SaaS-style platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain web applications using Laravel and PHP
- Build and manage secure back-end systems and APIs
- Integrate third-party systems and external services
- Troubleshoot, optimise and improve application performance
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making
- Support deployment processes and ongoing platform improvements
- Maintain coding standards, documentation and development best practices
- Ensure applications remain secure, scalable and high-performing
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven commercial experience with PHP and Laravel
- Strong understanding of full stack web development
- Solid experience working with MySQL or similar databases
- API development and integration experience
- Strong understanding of MVC architecture
- Experience using Git/version control systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, Azure etc.)
- CI/CD pipeline and DevOps knowledge
- Experience working within SaaS, compliance, HR tech or secure data environments
