This developmental position supports the growth of national retail and wholesale accounts. Working alongside Senior National Account Managers and cross‐functional teams, the Junior NAM helps manage customer relationships, contributes to sales planning and ensures the smooth execution of joint business plans. The role offers a strong foundation for building a long‐term career in national account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day‐to‐day oversight of key national accounts, helping to deliver sales, distribution and profitability goals.
- Support account planning and execution, including promotional activities, pricing updates and joint business initiatives.
- Track and report on sales performance, stock availability, forecasts and promotional effectiveness, and provide insights to the wider team.
- Coordinate with supply chain, finance and marketing colleagues to ensure customer initiatives are delivered seamlessly.
- Prepare for customer meetings by compiling notes, action plans and presentations, and follow up on agreed actions.
- Undertake administrative tasks such as maintaining systems, managing pricing updates and organising promotional calendars.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform account strategy.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with customer contacts, acting as a point of contact as appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and sound organisational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Analytical mindset with a basic understanding of commercial metrics.
- Proactive and eager to learn and develop.
- Previous experience or internships in commercial, sales or FMCG environments are advantageous.
