Security Engineer - MOD / Defence / High Security Clearance Farnborough | Hybrid 3 days p/week on site £75-80k + bonus and benefits High-level UK Security Clearance required Are you a Security Engineer with experience across privileged access management, identity security or enterprise security tooling?

This is a hands-on security engineering role working within a highly secure Defence and National Security environment.

You'll maintain and improve security platforms controlling privileged access, credentials and administrative activity across critical infrastructure.

There is also a requirement within the team for
Elastic SIEM
capability, so if you have strong Elastic experience alongside your security engineering background, that would also be relevant.

The role You'll work across identity, privileged access and wider security infrastructure, including: Managing passwords, SSH keys, API keys and privileged credentials.

Configuring and troubleshooting automated password and credential rotation.

Running discovery scans across Active Directory and network environments.

Managing RBAC, permissions and user/group access.

Monitoring privileged sessions and investigating failed authentication activity.

Maintaining, patching and upgrading security platforms.

Reviewing audit logs and integrating security events with SIEM tooling.

Troubleshooting firewalls, load balancers and connectivity issues.

Key experience Hands-on Security Engineering within complex environments.

Privileged Access Management (PAM) or identity security solutions.

Active Directory, identity providers, privileged and service accounts.

Vulnerability scanning, EDR or SIEM tooling.

Elastic SIEM experience would be a strong advantage.

Understanding of RBAC, credential management and security monitoring.

Experience with Dev Sec Ops, CI/CD, ATT&CK or MOD security environments would also be useful.
