We're looking for an experienced Lead Quality Supervisor to play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality composite components used within the aerospace and defence sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative engineering business where you'll take ownership of day-to-day quality assurance activities, working closely with manufacturing, engineering and production teams to ensure products meet the highest industry standards. You'll combine hands-on inspection with quality leadership, helping drive continuous improvement across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead day-to-day quality assurance and inspection activities across manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Carry out incoming, in-process and final inspection of composite components and assemblies.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T requirements.
  • Produce inspection reports, quality documentation and measurement records.
  • Support internal, customer and certification audits.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause investigations and CAPA activities.
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve quality, reduce defects and enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities and product validation.
  • Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained.
  • Collaborate with international manufacturing teams to ensure consistent quality standards across multiple sites.

What We're Looking For

  • You'll ideally have experience in a Quality Supervisor, Senior Inspector or Quality Engineer position within aerospace, advanced composites or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Practical hands-on inspection and metrology experience.
  • Confidence using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, height gauges and digital measurement systems.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of non-conformance management, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across production, engineering and quality teams.
  • Experience with composite manufacturing, aircraft interiors, defence products, 3D scanning or advanced metrology equipment would be highly advantageous.
