We’re looking for experienced Architects to join a high-growth consultancy delivering large-scale cloud data and analytics transformations for major UK organisations. This isn’t a delivery-only role. You’ll be responsible for setting the architectural vision across complex, multi-system environments, helping clients modernise legacy estates and move toward scalable, cloud-native data platforms that actually stand up in production. You’ll act as a design authority, shaping strategy at stakeholder level, defining target architectures, and ensuring every solution is engineered for performance, governance, and long-term scalability across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor on analytics, data engineering, and cloud data platform architecture
  • Lead the end-to-end design of enterprise analytics and BI solutions
  • Define and govern solution architectures aligned to business and technical requirements
  • Design scalable cloud data platforms, lakehouse architectures, and analytics ecosystems
  • Lead architecture for data modelling, warehousing, and ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Design and oversee BI and semantic layer architecture (Power BI and similar tools)
  • Define standards for data governance, security, lineage, and data quality
  • Engage senior stakeholders to shape data strategy, architecture roadmaps, and transformation plans
  • Provide architecture governance and solution assurance across delivery teams
  • Support pre-sales, solution shaping, and client presentations where required

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect, Analytics Architect, or Senior Cloud Data Consultant
  • Strong background in enterprise data platform and analytics architecture
  • Extensive experience with Azure data ecosystem (Fabric, Databricks, Synapse, Azure Data Factory)
  • Strong understanding of data modelling (Kimball, dimensional modelling, lakehouse patterns)
  • Experience designing enterprise ETL/ELT and data integration architectures
  • Strong BI architecture experience (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent)
  • Solid understanding of data governance, security, metadata, and data quality frameworks
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable architectures
  • Strong consulting and stakeholder engagement experience

Desirable

  • Exposure to AI/ML and advanced analytics platform architecture
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric adoption or modernisation programmes
  • Knowledge of Databricks Lakehouse architecture patterns
  • Experience in regulated environments (government, defence, financial services)
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and DataOps practices in cloud environments
  • Experience contributing to architecture governance boards and solution assurance

Why Join?

  • Shape enterprise-wide data and analytics transformation programmes
  • Influence architecture strategy for major UK organisations
  • Join a high-growth consulting environment with strong technical focus
