Ever wanted to lead analytics projects that actually shape business decisions, not just report on them? I am supporting a leading consulting company in the recruitment of a Lead Analytics Consultant to deliver high-impact analytics and BI solutions for major UK organisations. This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical delivery with client-facing consulting. You will play a key role in shaping solution design, leading end-to-end analytics engagements, and guiding delivery teams to ensure outcomes are robust, scalable, and commercially impactful. The role sits at the centre of delivery and client engagement, where you will translate complex business challenges into cloud-based data solutions and take ownership of how analytics capabilities are designed, built, and delivered across multiple engagements.
What you will be doing:
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on analytics and data engineering best practice
- Lead end-to-end analytics engagements from discovery through to delivery
- Design and deliver scalable cloud-based data platforms and BI solutions
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions (or similar tools)
- Develop and oversee data models, ETL/ELT pipelines and transformations
- Architect robust, scalable solutions aligned to business requirements
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate complex problems into clear solutions
- Mentor and support team members and contribute to delivery excellence
What we are looking for:
- Strong experience delivering cloud-based analytics or data engineering solutions
- Background in a consulting or client-facing environment (preferred)
- Experience leading teams or managing end-to-end project delivery
- Advanced Python and SQL skills
- Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar data integration tools
- Exposure to modern data platforms such as Databricks or Microsoft Fabric
- Strong experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlik
- Strong understanding of data modelling, warehousing and ETL/ELT processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to have:
- Exposure to AI, ML or data science initiatives
- Experience in large-scale enterprise or regulated environments
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies or distributed systems
This role is ideal for someone looking to step into a true leadership position within analytics delivery, combining technical depth with client influence. You will have the opportunity to work on high-impact UK programmes, shape solutions end-to-end, and progress into more senior leadership roles within a growing data function.
