This is a hands-on infrastructure role operating at the sharp end of secure environments. You’ll be working across multi-classified systems where stability, security and performance genuinely matter, supporting critical platforms spanning Windows, Linux, cloud and virtualised estates. The environment is complex and varied. One day you’re deep in system triage and patching across secure platforms, the next you’re improving automation, advising on infrastructure design, or helping shape more robust, Secure by Design capabilities across the estate. There’s a strong mix of BAU and project work, with real scope to influence how things are built and improved.
What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll maintain and enhance multi-classified environments across virtualised, collaboration and development platforms, ensuring everything is secure, patched and performing as expected.
What you’ll bring:
- Strong experience across Windows Server and Linux environments, alongside Azure, VMware and networking fundamentals.
- You’ll be comfortable working in secure or protectively marked environments and understand the operational discipline that comes with it.
- Essential:
- Windows Server 2016+ administration
- RedHat OpenShift Linux (CentOS, RedHat, Ubuntu)
- EUD provisioning (Autopilot), maintenance, patching and hardening
- SSO concepts and operation
- Experience working in protectively marked environments
- VMware
- Azure
- Networking
- Automation and scripting (Ansible, PowerShell)
