Finance Business Analyst – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: 50-65k + Benefits
Contract Type: Fixed-Term (12 months). Although this role is offered on a FTC basis, it is highly likely that the role will move to a permanent arrangement.
Are you an analytical thinker with strong finance systems experience? We are seeking a Finance Business Analyst to play a key role in the upgrade and migration of our clients ERP system to Microsoft Dynamics 365. This project role is ideal for someone who thrives in cross-functional environments, delivering value through systems improvement and strong stakeholder collaboration.
The role will be based from Milton Keynes. The client operates a 3/2 hybrid working policy, 3 days in the office, 2 days at home. The working pattern will fluctuate with demand, so some weeks could be mainly in the office, some weeks, mainly at home.
About the Role
As Finance Business Analyst, you'll be instrumental in delivering a major finance system upgrade and CRM migration. You’ll work across departments to align technical solutions with financial and business requirements while ensuring minimal risk and maximum value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support system enhancements and migration within Microsoft Dynamics (D365), working closely with finance leaders and technical teams
- Create clear and concise documentation to define business needs and training requirements
- Lead or support governance activities, workshops, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Develop general system design documentation based on future business needs
- Manage and track plans, risks, budgets, and resource allocations for the finance project portfolio
- Partner with the data platform team to create and refine finance reports using Excel and Power BI
- Support and guide data cleansing in Microsoft AX to ensure data readiness for migration to D365
- Plan and coordinate the business migration process, ensuring accuracy and minimal disruption
About You
We’re looking for someone with a solid understanding of finance systems and data, coupled with strong communication and project coordination skills.
- Degree-qualified (Desirable), ideally with experience in finance
- Highly analytical, with the ability to conceptualise and create innovative solutions
- Proficient in Excel, with working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (D365), SQL, and Power BI (Desirable)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex business requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
