Network Engineer Permanent - up to £85k + bonus and benefits
Security Clearance: It is an essential requirement for candidates to obtain UK Security Clearance (DV Level) prior to appointment.
Location: Hampshire - 5 days on site
Are you a Network Engineer looking to work on production LANs and global WANs in a high-security environment? We are seeking a hands-on engineer to support existing networks, implement new infrastructure, and lab/test emerging technologies. The ideal candidate is comfortable with CLI-driven configuration, network security, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, implement, and support LAN and WAN architectures
- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols including OSPF and BGP
- Implement and manage VPNs and network security infrastructure, including NGFWs (Next-Generation Firewalls)
- Build and maintain data centre networks (Leaf/Spine architecture or similar)
- Work with high assurance IP encryption (HAIPE) devices
- Automate network deployments and orchestration using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools
- Document configurations and implement designs from High-Level and Low-Level Design documents
- Work with whitebox/open networking infrastructure (Linux-based network OS)
