We're looking for an experienced QA Test Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing team delivering secure, high-impact technology for Defence and National Security customers.
This is an opportunity to work on complex technical challenges where quality, resilience and security are critical.
Working alongside engineers, architects and Dev Sec Ops specialists, you'll ensure infrastructure is thoroughly tested, validated and ready for deployment into highly secure production environments.
What You'll Be Doing
As a QA Test Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a key role in assuring the quality of infrastructure and platforms throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include
- Creating infrastructure-focused test strategies and plans
- Designing and executing functional, integration, regression, resilience and security testing
- Validating Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) deployments and physical infrastructure
- Provisioning and verifying test environments alongside Dev Sec Ops teams
- Identifying risks, maintaining traceability and supporting governance activities
- Contributing to security assurance, compliance and accreditation activities
- Ensuring solutions are production-ready through robust automated and manual testing processes.
What We're Looking For
You'll have experience across infrastructure testing within secure or highly regulated environments and bring knowledge in areas such as:
- Infrastructure & Networking
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VLANs and firewalls
- Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting
- Physical infrastructure including routers, switches and cabling
- Virtualisation platforms such as VMware
- Cloud platforms including AWS, Azure or GCP
- Infrastructure as Code
- Terraform
- Ansible
- Kubernetes
- CI/CD & Automation
- Jenkins, Git Lab CI or Git Hub Actions
- Infrastructure validation within automated pipelines
