Our client, a leading contractor in complex construction and infrastructure projects, is looking for a Site Manager to lead and coordinate all on-site activities. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Establish and maintain a safe, clean, and organized site, ensuring full compliance with HSE, environmental, and quality standards.
- Develop, review, and update Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality Plans, including Waste Management, Carbon Calculator, and Materials Management Plans.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and training; identify and report training needs for operatives.
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and Lift Plans (if qualified).
- Conduct regular site inspections and manage incident reporting, security, and waste management.
- Obtain and comply with required licenses, consents, and environmental action plans.
- Manage materials, plant, and labour requirements, including long-lead items and timesheet accuracy.
- Review project specifications and drawings, prepare material requisitions, and coordinate procurement.
- Manage subcontractors, including RAMS review, procurement, design coordination, and contractual documentation.
- Update and maintain project programme, integrating subcontractor work and highlighting delays to the commercial team.
- Produce project records, reports, inspection and test plans, snagging lists, and handover documentation.
- Support financial management, including interim valuations, final accounts, and variations in consultation with QS.
- Engage with stakeholders, residents, landowners, and utility companies to plan works and diversions.
- Lead, manage, and motivate the site team; delegate responsibilities, provide training, and promote collaboration.
- Monitor team performance, morale, and adherence to company procedures; manage rewards, disciplinary matters, and grievance issues.
Experience Required for Site Manager:
- Marine experience desirable
- Security clearance required
