Our client, a leading supplier of safety, traffic management, PPE, and site equipment solutions to the infrastructure, utilities, and construction sectors, is seeking a Sales Executive to join their growing team in Walsall.
Key Responsibilities for Sales Executive:
- Manage and develop a portfolio of key customer accounts to increase revenue and maximise customer spend.
- Build strong, long‑term relationships with customers, ensuring their requirements are fully understood and effectively supported.
- Identify opportunities to promote additional products and services across existing accounts.
- Achieve agreed sales, account growth, quote conversion, and customer retention targets.
- Prepare accurate and timely quotations, working with senior management on higher‑value opportunities where required.
- Proactively follow up outstanding quotations and record reasons for unsuccessful bids to support continuous improvement.
- Process customer orders and requisitions accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise with customers to obtain all information required for successful order fulfilment.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, stores, and other internal departments to ensure orders are delivered on time and in full.
- Manage shared sales inboxes and ensure all customer enquiries, orders, and requests are prioritised and actioned promptly.
- Deliver outstanding customer service across all customer interactions.
- Resolve customer queries and issues efficiently, escalating where necessary.
- Monitor deliveries and provide updates regarding stock availability, transport schedules, and order progress.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure all customer communications are recorded appropriately.
- Ensure all order‑related documentation and correspondence is correctly stored and maintained.
- Support returns processes, including arranging collections and coordinating with transport teams.
- Investigate credit requests and provide clear recommendations to management and finance teams.
- Follow established business processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work in accordance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures and policies.
Experience Required for Sales Executive:
- Proven experience achieving and exceeding sales targets within a customer‑focused environment.
- Strong account management, relationship‑building, negotiation, and influencing skills.
