Our client, a leading engineering and design consultancy, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team, with opportunities available across the Thames Valley region.
This position sits within a specialist commercial and procurement team, supporting complex infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Work collaboratively within an integrated client team, building strong relationships with stakeholders, project managers, contractors, and internal teams
Monitor and manage project costs to ensure delivery remains within budget, including validating contractor and supplier applications and payments
Produce clear and accurate financial reports, providing insight into project performance, risks, and forecasts
Support procurement activities, including tender evaluation and contractor appointment
Administer contracts in line with agreed terms and conditions, including managing change processes and maintaining accurate project records
Identify and manage commercial risks while supporting value engineering initiatives to improve project outcomes
Contribute to the development of junior team members through mentoring and knowledge sharing
Experience Required
Member of, or working towards membership with, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Experience working on civil infrastructure or major projects
Strong working knowledge of standard UK construction contracts such as NEC, ICC, FIDIC, or JCT
Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues is desirable
