A well-established contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to support the delivery of major rail and associated civil engineering works across London and the South East. This is a key role within an integrated project team, responsible for leading planning activities across complex, multi-disciplinary infrastructure schemes including bridges, structures, earthworks, and station upgrades. Projects are varied in scale and complexity and may include heavy civil engineering works, structural packages, utilities infrastructure, transport-related schemes and associated enabling works. Key Responsibilities for Senior Planner: * Develop, manage and update detailed project programmes using Primavera P6 * Lead collaborative planning sessions with delivery and commercial teams * Establish construction methodologies, logic sequences and resource loading * Monitor critical path activities and key milestones, driving mitigation strategies * Review and integrate subcontractor programmes into the master schedule * Produce progress reports, lookaheads and programme impact assessments * Support change management in line with NEC contractual requirements * Attend site and stakeholder meetings to gather live progress information * Promote high planning standards and digital planning best practice Experience Required for Senior Planner: * Proven experience as a Planner or Senior Planner on major rail and civil engineering or infrastructure projects * Experience supporting or leading QSRA processes * Background in sectors such as rail,heavy civils, utilities, highways or other regulated environments * Advanced Primavera P6 capability * Strong understanding of NEC contracts and programme control * Confident communicator able to challenge and influence delivery teams * Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in Civil Engineering, Construction or related discipline
