An established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team in Manchester.
Responsibilities for Contracts Manager:
- Ensure projects are planned and programmed to the level of detail required for site teams to deliver without delays
- Monitor project resources, challenge overspend, and identify efficiencies to improve programme and margin
- Ensure commercial plans and end-of-life forecasts are in place and monitored monthly
- Review CVRs monthly with project teams and implement necessary actions
- Review and challenge project teams on Cost Plans, identifying risks and opportunities
- Ensure correct commercial engagement of subcontractors and compliance with commercial policies
- Produce and analyse progress reports, updated costs, and forecasts
- Manage both temporary and permanent design to meet project requirements
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure direct workforce is allocated in line with programme
- Set the highest standards of HS&E leadership, ensuring compliance with procedures and legal obligations
- Liaise with third parties to ensure compliance with HAUC, NRSWA, Chapter 8, and other regulatory standards
