Talent Link Recruitment is hiring on behalf of our client for a skilled and practical Upholstery Technician / Sewing Machinist to join a busy manufacturing team. This is a hands-on workshop-based role, carrying out upholstery, trimming, sewing, refurbishment, and bespoke finishing work to a high standard. The successful Upholstery Technician will support the production of high-quality interior components, ensuring a durable, professional, and well-finished result.

The role will include:

  • Carrying out upholstery, trimming, and sewing work
  • Re-covering, re-leathering, and refurbishing cushions, seating, and interior components
  • Producing bespoke and ad-hoc upholstery pieces as required
  • Working from drawings, patterns, templates, or instructions
  • Working with leather, vinyl, and upholstery fabrics
  • Maintaining a consistently high standard of workmanship and finish
  • Supporting the wider manufacturing and workshop team

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience as an Upholstery Technician, Upholsterer, Sewing Machinist, Trimmer, or in a related practical role
  • Is confident working with leather, vinyl, fabric, or similar materials
  • Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality work
  • Can follow drawings, patterns, templates, or work instructions
  • Can work independently as well as part of a team
  • Is practical, reliable, and flexible in a workshop environment

Previous experience in vehicle, marine, furniture, commercial, or manufacturing upholstery would be an advantage. However, candidates with strong transferable skills in upholstery, trimming, sewing, or fabric-based production will also be considered.

Working hours:

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Monday to Friday
  • Day shift
  • Workshop-based role
