Talent Link Recruitment is hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Upholsterer to join a busy workshop team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled Upholsterer with strong technical experience across modern, traditional, semi-traditional, and contemporary upholstery methods. The role would suit someone who takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship, has excellent attention to detail, and is confident working across a variety of upholstery projects.

The successful candidate will be involved in producing, repairing, and finishing upholstered pieces to a high standard, working with fabrics, leather, foam, springs, horsehair, and other upholstery materials.

The role will include:

  • Carrying out modern foam upholstery and traditional upholstery work
  • Working with springs, horsehair, foam, fabrics, and leather
  • Making templates for upholstery work
  • Cutting fabrics and leather accurately
  • Carrying out hand sewing and finishing work
  • Making stretched covers
  • Covering and upholstering pieces to a high standard
  • Working with a range of upholstery techniques and materials
  • Maintaining strong attention to detail and quality throughout each project

We are looking for an Upholsterer who:

  • Has strong professional upholstery experience
  • Is confident in traditional, semi-traditional, modern, and contemporary upholstery techniques
  • Has excellent technical skills in cutting, hand sewing, covering, and finishing
  • Has a good understanding of fabrics, leather, and upholstery materials
  • Can work accurately and efficiently in a busy workshop environment
  • Takes pride in producing high-quality work
  • Can communicate effectively in English
  • Is reliable, practical, and committed to maintaining high standards

The ideal candidate will have significant hands-on upholstery experience and be confident working independently on technical upholstery tasks.

Working hours:

  • Full-time position
  • 45 hours per week
  • Workshop-based role
