Talent Link Recruitment is hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Upholsterer to join a busy workshop team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled Upholsterer with strong technical experience across modern, traditional, semi-traditional, and contemporary upholstery methods. The role would suit someone who takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship, has excellent attention to detail, and is confident working across a variety of upholstery projects.
The successful candidate will be involved in producing, repairing, and finishing upholstered pieces to a high standard, working with fabrics, leather, foam, springs, horsehair, and other upholstery materials.
The role will include:
- Carrying out modern foam upholstery and traditional upholstery work
- Working with springs, horsehair, foam, fabrics, and leather
- Making templates for upholstery work
- Cutting fabrics and leather accurately
- Carrying out hand sewing and finishing work
- Making stretched covers
- Covering and upholstering pieces to a high standard
- Working with a range of upholstery techniques and materials
- Maintaining strong attention to detail and quality throughout each project
We are looking for an Upholsterer who:
- Has strong professional upholstery experience
- Is confident in traditional, semi-traditional, modern, and contemporary upholstery techniques
- Has excellent technical skills in cutting, hand sewing, covering, and finishing
- Has a good understanding of fabrics, leather, and upholstery materials
- Can work accurately and efficiently in a busy workshop environment
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work
- Can communicate effectively in English
- Is reliable, practical, and committed to maintaining high standards
The ideal candidate will have significant hands-on upholstery experience and be confident working independently on technical upholstery tasks.
