Talent Link Recruitment is hiring for a well-established steel fabrication company in Halifax and is looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a Welder/Fabricator with previous welding and fabrication experience who takes pride in quality work and enjoys a hands-on workshop environment. The role involves MIG, TIG, and Arc welding, working from technical drawings, preparing materials, and ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.
As a Welder/Fabricator, you will be involved in a range of workshop-based duties, including welding, fabrication, and material preparation, supporting the team to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard. While the role is mainly based in the workshop, there will be occasional requirements to attend local sites, and periodic travel to project sites across the UK when required. Flexibility to travel is essential.
Duties Of The Welder/Fabricator Role- Carrying out welding and fabrication work to a high standard
- Using MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Preparing materials for fabrication and assembly
- Operating welding equipment safely and effectively
- Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order
- Assisting with general workshop duties where required
- Working with colleagues to complete projects on time
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Attending site-based work locally and across the UK as required
- Previous experience as a Welder/Fabricator or in a similar welding/fabrication role
- Experience with MIG, TIG, and Arc welding
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Good knowledge of metal fabrication materials and processes
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of work produced
- Reliable, practical, and able to work well within a team
- Driving licence essential
- Welding qualifications or certifications would be advantageous
- Full-time position
