Talent Link Recruitment is currently hiring an experienced CNC Programmer to join a high-end manufacturing environment specialising in bespoke, luxury furniture and joinery. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled CNC Programmer to work on unique, one-off projects for premium commercial and residential spaces. As a CNC Programmer, you will play a key role in transforming detailed designs into precision-machined components, contributing to exceptional craftsmanship and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and operate a Biesse flatbed nesting CNC machine as a CNC Programmer
- Create efficient toolpaths using Alphacam software
- Interpret complex 2D and 3D drawings into accurate CNC programs
- Set up tooling, run test programs, and make real-time adjustments
- Optimise nesting layouts to reduce material waste
- Perform routine machine maintenance (cleaning, inspection, lubrication)
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues efficiently
- Work with materials including hardwoods, veneers, MDF, and melamine
- Maintain accurate documentation for CNC programs and tooling
- Collaborate with design and workshop teams to ensure precision and quality
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer (minimum 3 years)
- Hands-on experience with Biesse nesting machines
- Proficiency in Alphacam
- Strong understanding of G-code and CNC machining processes
- Experience working as a CNC Programmer within joinery, furniture, or manufacturing
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in bespoke or custom furniture production
- Knowledge of joinery techniques, curved components, or inlays
- Background in woodworking or furniture design
- Familiarity with advanced CNC strategies or parametric design tools
