Talent Link Recruitment is hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Upholsterer to join a small, friendly workshop team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Upholsterer with strong experience in high-quality furniture upholstery, particularly working with natural materials and producing excellent finishing standards. The role would suit someone who takes real pride in their craft, has a strong eye for detail, and can complete pieces from start to finish independently. You will be working as part of a supportive workshop team producing premium upholstered furniture and bespoke pieces to a high standard.

The role will include:

  • Upholstering furniture from start to finish
  • Working on chairs, sofas, footstools, headboards, cushions, and bespoke pieces
  • Webbing, springing, padding, cutting, sewing, and finishing
  • Working with natural upholstery materials
  • Cutting fabric and carrying out pattern matching
  • Working with high-quality fabrics, including velvet and mohair
  • Covering standard furniture using existing patterns
  • Working on bespoke pieces without pre-existing patterns or templates
  • Maintaining excellent quality and attention to detail throughout each piece
  • Recording work progress, timings, and following workshop procedures

We are looking for an Upholsterer who:

  • Has strong hands-on upholstery experience
  • Can complete upholstery pieces from start to finish independently
  • Has experience working with natural materials
  • Has excellent finishing skills and strong attention to detail
  • Is confident with cutting, sewing, and fabric pattern matching
  • Can work efficiently while maintaining a high-quality finish
  • Works well as part of a small workshop team
  • Has a positive attitude and is open to learning different workshop methods
  • Can follow internal processes and communicate progress clearly

Working hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
  • Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm
  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Early finish every Friday
